The Redivivus Trilogy Book One: Threnody

Can John Wild survive the revenants spawned by the lyssa-niuhi virus, or will the plague prove to be his demise—and the threnody of the human race?

Every action has consequences, and every decision threnody covercomes with a price.

For scientists working on the development of a new bio-assassination weapon in a clandestine, high security research facility in remote Northern Brazil, this fact becomes all too apparent. When the project goes horribly awry, and the deadly pathogen is unleashed from the facility, it mutates in unforeseen ways. The lyssa-niuhi virus spreads rampantly through the unassuming population. Having been consumed by the monster of their own creation, no one with direct knowledge of the engineered pathogen remains, as the invisible assailant quickly sweeps across the globe. Panic ensues and life as we know it ceases to exist.

Meanwhile, Dr. John Wild returns home after a medical mission to a nearby American Indian reservation only to discover his world overrun by the unknown plague and the ghoulish revenants it spawns. Nothing is as it used to be. Unspeakable atrocities and walking abominations abound, as the things of nightmares walk the Earth. Banding together with Reams Wilkins, a physically imposing aircraft mechanic who saves John’s life, every moment becomes a test of their courage, strength, and resourcefulness. As the two men prepare to search for John’s family, he receives a mysterious, fragmented call—both a warning and a plea for help from long-time friend Dr. Lin San, the one person who may possess the key to eradicating the apocalyptic plague. Amidst the horrors all around, John clings to the smallest glimmer of hope that his family evaded the brutality of the plague. With the goals of locating his family and helping Dr. San discover a cure for the deadly disease, he and Reams embark on a journey that continually challenges their resiliency, fortitude, and faith in humanity.

John and Reams witness the pervasive destruction strewn across the landscape in the wake of the plague as they fight against impossible odds. Along the way they learn that even as veritable monsters walk the planet, people are often still the most dangerous and malicious beings in the land. Struggling to hang on to the remains of their sanity and humanity, will they succeed or will this be their threnody?
