Far different than his previous musical offerings, the Digital Ruin is the next evolution of Kirk Withrow’s music. It’s mostly synthwave/dark synth/retrowave music—the sound you might hear if the View-Master came equipped with speakers. Or maybe the sound of a DeLorean crashing somewhere between Escape from New York and Blade Runner. It’s…enough of the 80s cliches.
The Digital Ruin is what happens when I filter those fantastic vintage sounds we all know and love through more than three decades of life on this ball of mud and rock.
